Jefferson Elks Lodge 2306 will once again serve their annual Christmas dinner at 4 pm on Christmas Day. The menu will include ham (donated by Fareway) and turkey (donated by HyVee), with mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, rolls, and pumpkin pie provided by Jefferson Does Drove #196. Bingo games will follow dinner.
“Remember, this is for anyone who doesn’t have special plans for the day and would like to come and join us in celebrating Christ’s birthday,” an Elks spokesperson said.
The public is invited, but reservations are requested by Dec. 23. Those who plan to attend are asked to call the Lodge at 515-386-2106. Please leave a message, including the number of persons who will attend, if no one answers.
The Elks will also provide carry-out meals for those who prefer not to dine with the group. Meals can be delivered for those who are unable to pick up meals. Reservations should be made for carry-outs and deliver as well.
